RHA Hall of the Year Challenge

• On Campus Guest at RHA Meetings 5pts/person
At the RHA general body meetings, the buildings that bring a visitor
will receive 5 points per person, per meeting.

• Conference Applications Turned In 20pts/application
Every resident that turns in an application for NCARH, SAACURH, or NACURH
on time will receive 20 points for their building regardless of whether or not their
application is accepted.

• RHA Leadership Conference/Spring Rejuvenation 20pts/person
Each person attending the RHA Leadership Conference and/or the Spring
Rejuvenation will receive 20 points for their hall. (Scheduled for Oct. 23-24, 2009
and January TBA)

• Of the Month Turned In 5pts/nomination
For every quality OTM that is turned in on time (due the 1st of every month),
your hall will receive 5 points regardless of whether or not they win. If your OTM
does win, your hall will receive an additional 15 points.

• Hall Council Minutes 10pts
Each hall that turns in Hall Council meeting minutes each month and in the
correct format will receive 10 points. These minutes should be turned into the
RHA Vice President and should be turned in by the first RHA general body
meeting of the month following.

• Programs 10-50pts/program
Any Hall Council who presents a program in their hall and who has completed
the information sheet (which must be verified by the RD and the Hall Council
President) on time (one week after the program has occurred) will receive
between 10 and 50 points as decided by the committee based on the attached
criteria. Remember, quality is more important that quantity.

• Joint Program 30pts/program
This project is when two or more residence halls work together to present a
program and with each hall filling out the information sheet on time will result in
each hall receiving 30 additional points.

• Area Programs 10-50pts/program
If all the halls in the area present a program that required the planning and
cooperation of all the halls within that area, each hall will receive 10-50 points
based on their contribution to the program. These points will be awarded based
on the attached criteria. Each hall must also submit the program information
sheet on time to be considered for points.

• Homecoming Events 50pts/event
Each hall will receive 50 points for every RHA event participation during the
Homecoming celebration. These events include Lip Sync, Blood Drive, Banner
Contest, Parade, and King and Queen Nominations. Winning halls will receive 25
additional points per event.

• Website submission 10pts/hall
Submit an article or announcement to the RHA website! This can be an
announcement for “Recognition Corner,” or a program your hall is doing, etc.!

•Participation in Various Activities as deemed necessary will be announced
Throughout the year, the RHA executive board will announce different activities that are going on around campus. If we see fit we will give HOY points for participation. (ex: Pennies for Peace)
